Market research
How prices form across locations and across time.
Focused on North American electricity markets
Volltera Energy Markets LLC is a U.S. proprietary trading company dedicated to wholesale electricity markets. Our focus is on financially settled power products, particularly rights linked to transmission congestion and differences in electricity prices across the grid.
Electricity markets are shaped by changing demand, generation, weather and the physical limits of the transmission network. These factors create price differences between locations and across time.
Volltera studies those dynamics to identify and evaluate trading opportunities. We bring together market research, quantitative analysis and disciplined risk management to build positions in wholesale power markets.
